Finding plus size clothing can be a difficult task for the plus size woman. There are always those retailers promising the “perfect fit” at the “cheapest prices”, but the reality is that few retailers can keep those promises. In fact, many unscrupulous retailers will make such claims just to hook the plus size woman.
When I find a retailer I like, whether that retailer is on the internet or just a shop down on the corner, I look for honesty and versatility in both the customer service and the merchandise. Would you expect any less just because you were a plus size woman?
What should you look for in a plus size clothing retailer?

Look for free, information! Plus size clothing retailers, especially on the internet, should have a Blog or a section where free information and advice is available. This will come in handy for learning the immediate views and opinions on the plus size woman. Is she frowned upon, treated with respect, or catered to directly?

Look for sizing charts! One thing that annoys me more quickly than anything is ordering one size outfit only to discover that it is the wrong size. Designers, yes even in the plus size clothing category, vary a great deal on popular sizes. The best way for any woman to get the proper fit is to know her exact measurements in centimeters or inches. Then, shopping can be done by that measurement not the popular sizing chart.

Look at the fashions! Once upon a time, plus size clothing was frumpy and downright unattractive. Today, plus size clothing is chic and super hot! Do not accept a fashion simply because “it fits”. Look for what you want, not what you can use.
