Plus Size Shirts

If you are shopping for plus size shirts then you probably have generous curves. Don’t hide the ‘good’ curves emphasize them. Before shopping, take a good look at yourself in the mirror. Is your waist in proportion to your hips or your bust? If this is the case, then go for the curvy look plus size shirts which can really be sexy.

It is an old outdated rule that plus size women must dress in baggy clothes to hide their size, but did you know that clothes that don’t fit well make you look bigger? Another mistake is to wear all black outfits thinking it makes you look slimmer if the color isn’t good for you. It’s another misconception that flattering plus size shirts are hard to find. Great styles from plus size designers at awesome prices can be found at Jag Apparel. Plus Size Shirt

Before shopping for your plus size shirt, figure out what colors are best for you. Dark colors are said to be slimming and yes, they are in fashion this fall and winter, but in reality, colors are slimming only if they look good against your skin. One way to find colors that compliment your skin tones is to find plus size shirts, sweaters, scarves or even colored construction paper in medium and dark colors that you think would look great on you. Take these items to an ‘outdoor light source’ with a mirror. Place each colored item under your chin and look in the mirror. Now observe how this color makes your face look. Does your face look brighter, duller, radiant or drained? If a color enhances your face and makes you look good, set that item in the ‘good-colors for plus size shirt’ pile.

This fall 2007 to winter 2008 is finally recognizing women who have curves, which is what you have. Plus size shirts are being designed to accentuate the positive features of the plus size woman. Also you can add plus size accessories like one of this season’s beautiful belts to further emphasize your waist but don’t wear the belt around your hips. The rest of your outfit should fit well, but not be tight. An outfit that is not clingy is fine but never go for anything baggy or shapeless. Go for the sexy, curvy look.

Plus size shirts for this season can also be found in a variety of necklines. If you want to accentuate a full breast then wear a V-neck or a scoop-neck style. Don’t be afraid to show some cleavage in the appropriate situation. For the office or somewhere that is not appropriate to ‘show off what you have’, you can still wear the same plus size shirt just add accessories like a plus size scarf or jacket to make the top more appropriate.

The main thing is to have fun with your curves this season.

Plus Size Shirts

When it comes to finding the best plus size shirts for your wardrobe, finding a comfortable fit is as important as finding the right colors and designs. Of course, finding plus size clothing that fits tends to get more difficult as the sizes increase, but the woman with an eye for detail will find that finding a high quality, affordable plus size shirt can be a reality.

Plus size clothes can be an elusive concept mixed with sizes that simply do not fit and high priced items that are virtually unusable. Finding a retailer who knows what looks good and what fits better is a true gift. One to be cherished.

What do I look for in a plus size shirt?Plus Size Blouse

Well, the first thing I look for is the design. Does it fit with what I am looking for? If I purchase that plus size shirt, do I have to purchase pants, shorts, or skirts to match? Do I like the design?

After I know what design I want, I look for a cut. I like square neck plus size shirts usually, but I also like v-neck shirts. Most often I avoid tank tops simply because I do not like my arm hanging out. My arms just happen to be one of those trouble spots for me.

When I figure out what kind of cut the plus size shirt has, I look for the length. I am not fond of short hems. The longer the better in my opinion, but I am sure everyone has their own preference. I usually look for 30-inch shirts, but will settle for shorter since 30-inch is not all that common.

While plus size shirts are common, a good fitting plus size shirt tends to be elusive for me. Once you find a designer or retailer that offers what you like, keeping them close at hand is important. Oh yes, have you bookmarked Jag Apparel yet? There is nothing better than window shopping thanks to Jag!
